"The Travelodge is very convenient for the airport, but that also means that other people are leaving early to catch planes. Not good if you are a light sleeper and want a lie in!" (97750089)

    Clean and adequate

    Thin walls!

It was value for money, the location was good and the room size was generous

Check in took 20min, we didnt have a room key for our room, the hotel was very very noisy and we lost sleep 2 morrnings from accommadation staff and wild chlidren running around the hotel

"My wife and I have been regular visitors to your hotels throughout Ireland and the UK. We always find them excellent with superb staff. I suppose we were unlucky to be on the ground floor and to be beside a lot of fun loving youngsters. It was difficult as I am a journalist and was doing a game in Cork on the Saturday so I needed sleep that I did not get. But it would not stop me using the hotel again." (99612929)

Fine and Eddie Rockets Restaurant was excellent

We were on the ground floor and it was very noisy above us while a lot of people came in after 2 am and wakened my wife and I up. I eventually, after about an hour had to go out and ask them politely to stay quiet

"A bus stop closer to the hotel would be nice. It's a good fifteen minute walk up hill to the nearest one, although bus fare is relatively cheap at 1.35 euro each way into town. Breakfast at the diner next door is nice, but for other meals you need to go into town unless you like burgers." (99365899)

Clean and cosy ,hot showers and comfortable bed.

Clean comfortable for the time spent in the room.

Slightly away from the town centre, had to taxi everywhere, as next to dual carriageway.

Accommodation was good, the night receptionist was very helpful and accommodating ( foreign man ) helped me with my bags

Having got to our hotel room at 05.00 was woken by housekeeping at 9.30 am. I was very disappointed with this as all of us were very tired having travelled through the night.

"Good value budget hotel. Fine for 2 or 3 nights.Convenient for airport. " (97747076)

Convenient for airport, moderate price in city where accomodation prices seemed high.Room has all basics you need and comfortable good sized bed.OK if you have a car, otherwise too far from city centre.Rooms at back quiet despite proximity to main road.Free phone link to taxi service to book taxi to airport

Strange smell in room, corridors a bit tatty. Only food available locally from 'Diner' on site or store in neighbouring petrol station

"As a result of the above comment we would not recommend this chain to friends and family. We would have been prepared to pay for a better grade of room, especially if the bathrooms had been cleaner (England), and if your hotel chain offered a tiered room system." (3305118802)

The travel lodges we have experienced on this trip, especially in England, are all in need of refurbishment.

The overall standard of cleanliness was very poor. In cases sheets had not even been changed in the rooms when we checked in late at night. This was not the case in Ireland, as the standard here was better. Beware the traveller who does not come prepared with Shower and bath toiletries as there are none to be found.

"Not bad value for money but could be cheaper considering what you're getting (no-frills, impersonal accommodation a fair way out of the city)." (97273343)

    The receptionist was very friendly.

The only food outlet nearby was an American-style diner.

"We stayed at this hotel for one night prior to returning home after a wonderful holiday in County Kerry. It was conveniently located and easy to find. Check-in took a while as the receptionist seemed more interested in talking to her manager on the phone than in speaking to us. The room itself was adequately furnished, though the bed was on the soft side. However it was so hot and stuffy that even with the windows wide open it was very difficult to sleep. Air conditioning would have been most welcome! Check-out was simply a matter of dropping off the key and so was simple and swift." (3304670051)

    It was conveniently located.

Room was extremely hot and stuffy.

    from Chingford , United Kingdom;GB  on  July 30, 2006

"The directions given when I booked the accommodation appeared to be adequate, however, in practice were very poor. If better and more details were given and a small map to indicate directions better. I would like to have known about eating and drinking places nearby and within walking distance, whilst being given the distance from both the airport and city centre, it would be useful for information about the distance of the nearest restaurants and bars etc." (3305044477)

It was close to both the airport and Cork city centre, but with no noise or inconvenience from either.

It was generally shabby with broken towel rail, stained tile grout in the bathroom, inadequate tea/coffee facilities, stained furniture and carpet.

Close to the airport and straightforward to find in spite of the road works.

I have rarely found fault with Travelodge services and will continue to use them at every opportunity. Keep up the good work and attitude.
